About Me

Jamie Heineman, MA

About me? Hmm... Where do I begin?! Welllllll I guess I'll start with the simple things.

I'm Jamie, I'm super glad you're here reading over my website - hopefully that means you're looking to make some changes in your life! Exciting, yet also scary - trust me, I get it. Change is hard but you've made the first step.

I have a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and was a licensed professional counselor in Ohio for 6 years before transitioning into my coaching role. I've worked with children, teens, and adults in the past but I do have to say my favorite people to work with tend to be the older teens and young adults. Nothing against any one else in different age brackets, but that's just where a lot of my experience lies. I guess you could say it's my "niche". Within those populations, I enjoy working with people going through life transitions (i.e. work, school, family), exploring their identity (i.e. yes gender and sexuality, but also identity as a parent, sibling, friend, etc.), challenging negative thoughts and old habits, improving relationships with themselves and others, and overall improvement of one's life.

Now for the more personal pieces - I am a proud queer woman. I am the mother of two furry fluff balls, Ziggy and Zoey. Often times they like to participate in virtual sessions because no one else is allowed to have my attention (insert eye roll here). I am a traveler and I will be just as excited for your vacation as you are. I am a believer in Black Lives Matter, I believe that Trans and Women's rights are Human Rights, I believe in science and in love. I believe that healthy isn't necessarily a number on the scale and I believe in sexual freedom. I believe that everyone should be able to coexist without harming others. Among others, I believe in the ability to live your truest, authentic self without fear of judgement, discrimination, or questioning.

I value being genuine and authentic, and I strive to bring that to the table - every single day. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space where you can be yourself, unapologetically, and I hope that you can find a little more of yourself through our time together. Whether you are just stopping by for some light reading or plan to set up an appointment - I wish you happiness, love, and kindness wherever you go next.
